History

Danicop Ticugan Spring

Long time ago, our forest is very blessed when it comes to food that is naturally grown in it. Our river are also rich in seafoods, has a crystal clear water and many more.

History before, people are not used in going to market for their foods because they are contented with what they can get from their own way of living and to not depend much with money.

There is this one guy named Cerapio who is known for his hardworking character. He is the person who discovered a certain place at Barrio Ticugan. He is also the person who knows about the place like the so called “Tubig Daku”, “Antayeg”, and “Kakdon”. There is also one body of water which is a running water or also known as water falls and is very cold and has a crystal clear water.

There is that one time Cerapio caught with someone while he is fishing which he depends on for his family’s living.

That same day when Cerapio is busy doing what he had to do, someone called him saying, “Cerapio? gaunsa man ka diha?” (Cerapio? what are you doing?). Cerapio was shocked so he answered angrily. “DAAA… NIKOP!!!” (Ohww…I’m Fishing!!!).

Starting that day, the place which has a very beautiful creation and is rich with natural foods and has its inviting water now called by the Ticuganons as DANICOP which origanally termed as DA…NANIKOP.

The history of Danicop Ticugan Spring remains in the heart of all Ticuganons.
